A successful harvest and a good year. One could almost say it couldn’t have been a better year for crop production, plenty of rain in the spring, allowed for great growing conditions at all three of the locations.
At Bridgewater farming we have a great sense of accomplishment and relief after a frustrating drought year where all the hard work just made for more hard work. This year all the rain made for a lot of hard work, but it always feels good to in the middle of a bountiful harvest.
At Oakshade and Bridgewater – Indiana all of our feed is purchased through relationships with local farmers. But we worry and have concern for their crops as well. It always feels better when you are harvesting crops for a neighbor and we know they are experiencing a great harvest.
There is still a lot of corn out in the fields and looking at the weather we have high hopes that corn grain harvest will go smoothly.
